Preamble
Programmer Assist is an online community. People from all over the world are participating in here. This Social Contract is an agreement between you and all other Programmer Assist members about proper behaviour and etiquette. Limited communication and cultural differences require us to agree on how we need to treat each other, and which kinds of behaviour are off-limits. Once you register for an account, from that moment you are bound to this social contract.
Accounts
Your account here is yours and yours alone. You may not share it with someone else nor give it to anyone. You may not give it away or share it temporarily. Additionally, you may only have one account at any time. Official developers and beta testers can have more than one account, but additional accounts are for testing purposes only.
Abusive Behaviour
Abusive Behaviour shall be defined as any improper behaviour displayed on Programmer Assist that offends other Programmer Assist members and visitors. You are expected to err on the side of caution because visitors and members may be from social and cultural backgrounds unknown to you.
Language
Verbal abuses of any kind are not tolerated. Cussing and insults of any shape or form and in any language are not allowed. Anything that can be said with cussing can also be said without.
Personal Information
The personal information you enter will be kept on the our server and not given to any third parties. If you choose to make your information public, it will be published on this site. You agree to not give the personal information of other members to any third parties.
Violations
If you break this contract, your account will be terminated. At the discretion of Programmer Assist, a minor offense can be punished with a smaller penalty. To account for honest mistakes, the 'one warning rule' is usually used: Unless intent is obvious, everyone is entitled to one warning before serious consequences follow. For blatant abuse, intolerable behaviour or clear intention, however, no warnings will be given.
