Programmer Assist is an internet based technical resource community for developers, programmers and designers from all around the world.
Programmer Assist provides a free and fair platform for members to ask questions, provide solutions and publish articles regarding the latest Information Technology (I.T.) topics.
Programmer Assist doesn't have a profit motive. The website isn't saturated by obtrusive ads nor is any feature available only to paying customers. It is completely free and available for all.
Incentives
------------------------------
Programmer Assist provides various incentives for programmers to participate. These include ofcourse gaining technical knowledge by the form of articles and asking questions on various industry specific topic areas.
Also we have a rating system in place where the most contributing members get recognition along with free goodies such as T-shirts, mugs and other accessories.
And more importantly Programmer Assist awards certifications to top performing members in each of the many topic areas on the website.
Management
------------------------------
Programmer Assist is fully managed and run by non-paid volunteers from the community itself. Volunteers dedicate their valuable time and expertize to ensure the website runs smoothly.
Development
------------------------------
The Programmer Assist backend was developed in January 2006 by the team at Zeppelin Interactive - http://zepint.org - on a volunteer basis. The team members of Zepint are active members of the Programmer Assist community.
