i am willing to make shopping cart for my new business. i want to make it in php.....can anyone suggest me some easy and good tutorials..?

Tutorials may only help you with parts of what you would need to consider to have in your application, I don't think I've come across a tutorial that explains every aspect to creating a shopping cart.

Have a look through some of the tutorials at http://www.phpfreaks.com who have some tutorials that may be good to have inside your shopping cart.

My other suggestion would be looking at the open source shopping carts around, and working on ways to accomplish the similar tasks that they perform. It's probably also a good idea if you can get some help with developing this project, it's a large project indeed and you may also need to call in an accountant to make sure tax is correct.

How conversant are you with PHP? If you are fairly comfartable with basic objects and database handling then you have the sufficient skill set.

Now once that flag is cleared you can move on to the actual application design. You can start with a basic draft db schema and an ER diagram. And then move on as you see best fit.

This is the ultimate test of the software developer. You have the skills, but how best can you put them together to create a software.

However, you may want to consider using open source/free PHP based shopping cart scripts already available. Mastercomputers posted some links, you can find more such scripts on: http://www.hotscripts.com
